Join us at LONGBOARDS RESTAURANT AND BAR in Salem, MA. on Thursday 11/21/24 at 8pm (doors open at 6pm) for comedy star ROCKY LAPORTE along with FRANK SANTORELLI who played Georgie the bartender on the hit HBO series THE SOPRANOS and funny Salem Mass native MARK SCALIA.
ROCKY LAPORTE - Rocky LaPorte is an American actor and a stand-up comedyperformer. In 2005 he had his own stand-up special on Comedy Central Presents. After the comedian Tim Allenwatched Rocky on The Tonight Show, he claimed Rocky as his "favorite new comic" and brought him on to play in his movie The Shaggy Dog. Rocky visited Iraq with Drew Carey, and the trip became a movie called Patriot Act: a Jeffrey Ross Home Movie, which aired on Showtime. He was also one of the few comedians to get a standing ovation on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Rocky was a finalist in the eighth season of NBC's Last Comic Standing finishing in the top five, Rocky qualified to perform on the Last Comic Standing Tour, which took place in the fall of 2014.
FRANK SANTORELLI- Frank Santorelli is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is perhaps best known for playing Georgie in the American crime drama television series The Sopranos.
Santorelli appeared in numerous television programs including Spin City,[1] Spenser: For Hire (as a sniper),[2] Andy Barker, P.I., Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Job[3]and Las Vegas.[4] He also appeared in numerous films including Meet the Parents,[5] No Reservations, Crooked Lines,[6] Meet the Mobsters and Somewhere in Queens.[7]MARK SCALIA- Mark has been a comedy favorite with audiences for over 30 years. From comedy clubs to Comedy Central, cable programs to hosting live events, he has entertained tens of thousands of people across the US and Canada. His material is funny, insightful and personable. He is able to craft his sets to include all ages.
Mark has performed in many comedy festivals including Boston, Seattle, and New Orleans. He is the proud founder and host of the Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival, an annual event that brings a variety of talented comedians from across the US to historic Salem, MA.
